On the morning of May 13, 2015，Mr. Xu Lejiang (Board Chairman of Baosteel Group), Mr. Zhang Qing (Party Secretary of Baosteel Iron-Making Plant) and Mr. Liu Jie (Managing Director of Baosteel Coking Plant) visited the ongoing site of Baosteel Phase 1 Coke Ovens Renovation Project constructed by MCC5.
There are totally 4 JNX2-70-1 reheating type 7m coke ovens with 50 ports. It is planned to put both 1A and 1B coke ovens into production at the same time, therefore, all utilities of 1A and 1B coke ovens must be put into use simultaneously. The delayed construction drawings of external comprehensive pipelines have exerted a great pressure for the timely production of 1A and 1B coke ovens. At present time, this project is busy making preparations for the production of 1A and 1B coke ovens.
Mr. Xu Lejiang expressed confirmation and appreciation for MCC5’s great effort to guarantee the simultaneous production of 1A and 1B coke ovens. He said: “Coke oven projects are the traditional advantageous projects of MCC5. MCC5 has made great effort to guarantee the simultaneous production of 1A and 1B coke ovens. The design and finishing work of operation room are good. MCC5’s method to improve the work environment of workers on the site is also quite good”. He also addressed: “The new environmental laws are the strictest laws at present time. The energy-saving and environmental-protection projects of China regard Baosteel as the model. To make a good renovation coking project may show MCC5’s capabilities.”
